Simple & Pure is filled with more than 70 recipes that are as simple, colorful and delicious as they are delicious, proving that a healthy gluten-, lactose- and refined sugar-free diet does not have to be boring or difficult. From smokey cauliflower tacos with mango avocado salsa to fluffy lemon pancakes with homemade wild berry compote, from green shakshuka with pesto to sweet potato brownies. Not just for people with food intolerances or allergies, but for any bon vivant who will feel more comfortable in his or her skin thanks to this diet. When Sanne van Lierop started eating gluten- and lactose-free for health reasons, she decided to develop the recipes herself that she, as an exuberant Brabant native, so desperately needed. About the author:
Sanne van Lierop (1999) has struggled with rheumatoid arthritis since the age of one, which required her to take long-term medication that damaged her intestinal wall. This resulted in a gluten allergy and a lactose and glucose intolerance. Thereupon, she decided to start developing the recipes she so desperately needed as a Burgundian from Brabant. On Instagram (@sannevanlierop) and her blog, she shares these recipes on a daily basis to make it as easy as possible for as many people as possible to eat nutritious, gluten-free, lactose-free, refined sugar-free and often vega(n) food.
