Frequently Asked Questions

1. Questions about products

1.1 What are the differences between pottery, ceramics and porcelain?

Pottery and ceramics are two names for tableware made primarily of clay. Ceramics are manufactured at a temperature of 800-1150 degrees Celsius. Because ceramics are somewhat porous, they are most often glazed.

Porcelain is a specific form of ceramic, composed of kaolin (an unruly, white type of clay), quartz and a feldspar (the name for a group of rock-forming minerals) and fired at a high temperature of about 1400 degrees Celsius.

1.2 You offer many handmade products. So how do you ensure consistency in production?

Many of our products are indeed handmade, by experienced makers who understand the craft like no other. Our range is often perfectly imperfect, which means that no product is identical and there can always be minor (color) deviations within a series. Handcrafting ensures authenticity and adds charm to the product and to the table.

1.3 Can all the pottery products you offer go in the dishwasher, microwave and/or oven?

No, this varies from product to product, which is why we indicate this for each product in the product description.

1.4 Can all the fabric made products you offer go in the washer and dryer?

No, this varies from product to product, which is why we indicate this for each product in the product description.

1.5 Can I exchange products?

Yes, but to exchange you need to return the items you don't want to keep through our returns portal and place a new order for the new items you want to order. The result is the same as exchanging but it proceeds in 2 separate parts.

1.6 Questions about products and orders?

If you have any questions about our products or your order(s), please email [email protected].

2. Account and order history

2.1 Do I need to create an account when placing an order?

No. Creating an account is optional and certainly not required. It can be convenient to create an account so that you don't have to fill in your information over and over again with future orders. You can also view your order history by logging into your account.

2.2 Where can I view my order history?

By creating an account on this website you can view your order history. Even if you did not create an account in the past, all orders made with the same email address will become visible when you create an account.

3. Delivery time, warranty and reflection period

3.1 How quickly will I receive my order when I place it online?

For all weekdays, orders placed before 11:59 p.m. will be shipped the same day. In most cases, this means that these orders will be delivered to you the next day.

Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday before 11 p.m. will be shipped on Sunday. In most cases, this means that these orders will be delivered to you on Monday.

The above delivery time is an indicative delivery time, but based on experience we know that in more than 98% of cases the mentioned delivery time is met.

3.2 Who will deliver my order?

Your order will be delivered by PostNL and you will receive track & trace updates by email on the status of your delivery.

3.3 Can I return my order?

Yes. As a consumer, you have the right to return your order, or parts of it, without giving a reason within 14 days of receiving your order. For the full explanation see our Return Policy under the Service heading at the bottom of this page. You can register your return via our returns portal (link).

In short, within 14 days you may return your order, or part of it, to us for a refund or exchange. You may do this without giving any reason, although we are of course very curious as to why you are not 100% satisfied.

Through our returns portal (link), you can register a return and print a shipping label to return your order as soon as possible.

You are responsible for properly returning your order. So make sure you pack the order properly, keep your shipping receipt and insure the shipment if necessary to ensure that in case of breakage or loss you will be compensated by the carrier.
