Majorca FOOD & VIEW hotspots

If you only knew ... the Spanish island of Mallorca might evoke a very different feeling in you. The authorities are busy waving their clubs at the moment; it's over with the "suck it, untill you fall on the ground of misery" behavior of today's mass tourism. Time for a new - and rightful - image! Need great food overlooking the clear Balearic Sea? Then add Mallorca to your wish list very quickly. I really am a big fan ... so I'm happy to help you get started with these not-to-be-missed hotspots, in no particular order:

Castell Son Claret - Es Capdellà

Great hotel and also two wonderful restaurants. I had such nice evenings here. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere, everything beautiful and delicious. Yes ... absolutely great!

Ponderosa Beach - Can Picafort

Well, unfortunately so one of the places that no longer had room for us. Super unfortunate, but just book on time and then you can still go there.

Assaona -Palma de Mallorca

Do you love sushi? At this beach club in the middle of Palma, not only does it taste delectable, it all looks stunning. Reservations are necessary, as it is a very popular place.

Purobeach Illetas

You don't have to go to the Maldives for azure water! It is a very nice beach club, but there is no beach so for very small kids it is in all honesty not recommended. Handy to know: they also have a minimum amount you have to spend, so keep that in mind.

Balneario Illetas

Nice place, with azure water in a rather busy little bay. Nevertheless: enjoying all the beauty here together!

Can Gavella - Platja de Muro

This joint is located in the North East of Mallorca. Unfortunately, we have never managed to eat here, because again, full = full. But here it seems you can eat excellent paella.

Cap Falcó Beach - Calvia

Eating in a relaxed atmosphere with your feet in the sand, on this lovely little mini bay. The food is not haute-cuisine, but the view here makes up for everything!

Beach Club Gran Folies - Port d'Antratx

Guaranteed a wonderful afternoon at this beautiful beach club with fine food and the very best views. Very popular, so early reservations are a must.

Sumailla - Port d'Antraxt

OMG.... the most delicious sushi in ages I ate here! Definitely try the sushi with soft shell.

Cappuccino Grand Cafe - Port de Pollenca

Just always nice a Cappucino Grand Cafe. This one is lovely óon the beach!

Livingdreams Mallorca - Restaurant 19 by Livingdreams

A beautiful lifestyle store where you want to have everything. But... behind it is a large garden with a dream of a terrace where you can have lunch and dinner (if I am to believe many). I made a quick visit to the store, but we were passing through and unfortunately we didn't get to eat here. But please, go here!

Anima Beach Palma

Right in the middle of Palma! We have not been here ourselves, but seems to be horribly worthwhile.

Zhero Beach Club

If only there were more days in a vacation, because we haven't been able to visit this one either. But I don't want to withhold this one from you either!

Cala sa Nau

A lovely nice little beach, so come early when you want a lounger! The food here is unprecedentedly good for a beach club!

Cappuccino Grand Cafe - Valldemossa

Huh...I just saw this one pass by too. Right! But in another great place with great food!

Cassai Beach House - Sant Jordi

The village per se is not really worth it, but sitting here for an afternoon is great. And after lunch, there are plenty of beautiful bays in the area to explore.

Coco Beach House - Cala Ratjada

Again, a village to skip, but what a beautiful place with extremely good food. Also in the neighborhood are beautiful beaches.

La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel - Deià

Luxury all around in this hotel. Truly everything is beautiful here and the food is phenomenal. Restaurant La Olive is one of the most romantic places ever!

Patiki Beach - Sóller

This part of Mallorca is really the most beautiful in terms of nature and this beach club fits in perfectly. Don't expect the nicest beach club, but the food is insane.

Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden - Palma de Mallorca

A hotel with a not normally fine restaurant: Botanic.

The Merchants - Steakhouse & Grill - Palma de Mallorca

A hotel and restaurant with an impressive interior. The quality of the food is very good. Try the Kale Salad here; one of the best ever. We ate in the courtyard garden, a very nice place.

Na Petra Restaurant - Portopetro

Mega nice village on a harbor. The food here was about the best I've had in Mallorca. Also step inside should you sit outside because the interior is insane!

Yaya's

Near Cala D'Or. This one was tipped to me because the food is apparently very good.

Nama

Too bad but too bad: no place for us. Apparently the food here is fantastic and the view people...!

Es Roar - Sant Elm

Basic restaurant with a great view of a bay. I really like the balance: Glam& Autenthic on vacation. We arrived here by boat, during a day cruise. Delicious paella here!
