DIY: drying oranges yourself

Oranges in vase

Creabeas beware - in my other blog I already showed that you can make really fun creations with dried fruit. That these oranges and other citrus fruits are super easy to dry yourself, I like to show you step by step. Or rather... it's not that many steps, because meine liebe it's really quite simple. So take a look, learn and above all imitate!

Supplies

  • Oranges (and possibly lemon and/or lime)
  • Oven with baking tray
  • Optional: powdered sugar for shine

Do it yourself!

Preheat the oven to 100 degrees and slice the oranges (and any other citrus fruit). You may want to sprinkle some powdered sugar over the fruit; this will make it shine a bit.

Line the baking sheet with the slices until it is completely full and let the fruit dry in the oven for 2 to 2.5 hours.

3. Check the state of things every 45 minutes and once it is cooked and fragrant, let it cool completely.

4. Tadaaa... your oranges are ready to decorate with!
